Boer, de, Wouter W. (MSc.)
Mr Wouter W. de Boer was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands on November 12, 1956. He studied Mechanical Engineering (specialty Control Engineering) in Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. Thereafter he joined KEMA Consulting in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Within KEMA his expertise is modeling and control design of energy-relates conversion systems. Specifically, modeling and control design have been carried out for wind turbines, fossil fired power plant, automatic generation control (AGC), boiling water reactors, fuel cells, greenhouses and large scale energy storage. He developed a simulation model to analyze the dynamics of the UCTE grid in respect of the primary and secondary control behavior that is widely applied for TSO's in Europe and US. Recent studies concern analysis of secondary control with increased amount of renewables. In E-Price he is employed for developing the previous mentioned model further to obtain a good environment to compare cases in the current and new E-Price control approach.
