ADDRESS (FP7 Project)
ADDRESS (“Active Distribution networks with full integration of Demand and distributed energyRESourceS”) is a large-scale Integrated Project co-founded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme, in the Energy area for the "Development of Interactive Distribution Energy Networks". The projectcoordinator is ENEL Distribuzione SpA and the consortium consists of 25 partners from 11 European countries spanning the entire electricity supply chain, qualified R&D bodies, SMEs (Small and MediumEnterprises) and manufacturers. The aim of the project is to develop a comprehensive commercial and technical framework for the development of “Active Demand” in the smart grids of the future.
NOBEL (FP7 Project)
The NOBEL (Neighbourhood Oriented Brokerage ELectricity and monitoring system)project will build an energy brokerage system with which individual energy consumers can communicate their energy needs directly with both large-scale and small-scale energy producers, thereby making energy use more efficient. The brokerage system will use a middleware system to communicate energy consumption data and will use IPv6 technology to interconnect the middleware with sensors and energy meters on individual devices.
SmartCoDe (Smart Control of Demand for Consumption and Supply to enable balanced, energy-positive buildings and neighbourhoods) is a 7th Framework Program (FP7) project funded by the European Commission. Its primary mission is to balance and reduce the energy consumption of small buildings and neighbourhoods and pave the way to energy-neutral / energy-positive local grids. The project, which commenced in January 2010, is a 3-year STREP project funded under the Programme "ICT-2009", in the area "ICT support to energy-positive buildings and neighbourhoods". It includes eight partners from 5 European countries.
W2E (FP7 Project)
The project WEB to Energy (W2E) aims to develop this open, universally accessible and standardized ICT communication infrastructure. The key idea is the consistent, homogeneous and uniform application of globally accepted IEC standards, specifically for Communication protocols (IEC 61850), ICT network security (IEC TS 62351) and Database management using CIM (IEC 61968). The W2E project develops the interfaces between all three levels and in this way opens "plug and play" and interoperability capabilities. W2E thus provides a seamless approach to standardisation from the process level, through the ICT infrastructure up to the control centre level.
